Mission Statement

The Cambodian Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. (CCDF) exists for the sole purpose of raising funds in the United States, the solicitation of grant proposals, and the provision and administration of grant funding. Grants issued through our organization will support Cambodian nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that are founded and administered by Cambodian nationals. NGOs selected for funding will be those that demonstrate a commitment to, and request funding for, sustainable economic development, agricultural development, and environmental stewardship projects.

Our funding for economic development projects will focus primarily on organizations that provide communities with animals, such as cows and goats, microfinance grants, community savings programs, financial and entrepreneurship training, and primary and secondary educational grants. Our funding for agricultural development and environmental stewardship projects will focus primarily on reforesting and forestry management projects, water management and irrigation projects, and sustainable fishing and farming trainings to local workers.

Funds for such programs will be granted based upon proposals submitted to CCDF, with priority given to those organizations whose programs demonstrate financial sustainability, and have strategies and tools to measure long term impact. The Cambodian Countryside Development Foundation, Inc. will work in partnership with the Cambodian organizations. We seek to not only provide financial support, but to assist partner organizations to build their capacity and insure long term sustainability through assisting in program design, sharing of management, financial, and grant writing knowledge, and to help these organizations find further funding from large scale donors.
